I’m big on scrap booking and memory keeping of all kinds for my family. It’s not only great me-time with the fun of using my creativity, but I like to think of it as telling my family story. From big moments like birthdays, to capturing and documenting the little day-to-day details in life, scrap booking is a
obsession hobby that I look forward to every week.
I am usually the one taking the pictures, so I am not typically in them. I’ve realized this more lately, and so I am trying to make and effort to appear in more pictures with the kids. Bad hair day or not, I think it’s important that my kids can look back on pictures later in life and see their mom and dad right along with them. This lead to my Mother’s Day request this year- a family portrait session. We found Katy Geesaman from Lil Geese Photography through friends of ours. We got rained out on Mother’s Day weekend, but made another try at it a few weeks later. I’m so thrilled with how they turned out, and a few of my favorite shots are below.
I found some time recently to start scrap booking these pictures, and I’m so happy with how this page turned out. I added a nice quote about Family Rules, and had some nice Chantily paper from Close to my Heart to compliment this. I can’t wait to add this one into the album!
